30 day challenge!

30 day challenge!…I have heard that if you do something everyday for 30 days, it is just enough to make permanent a change in your life…I would like to create a new habit of painting everyday. As my MA is nearly finished I am going to set myself a challenge for September to paint something everyday.

Just to make sure I do this, I am going to post the paintings on my facebook page Suzy Sharpe Art and have them for sale at £30 each with 30 % going to charity (I like the number 3) here is a Ted talk on the subject from someone who has also climbed Kilimanjaro so particularly poignant as my daughter Ellie is off to do that tomorrow http://www.ted.com/talks/matt_cutts_try_something_new_for_30_days

This is the last charity auction I did https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.785506184801764.1073741882.116890808329975&type=3

Hopefully this challenge will make the paintings affordable and could raise £300 for charity. I have chosen 3 charities, Mousehole Bird Hospital, Cornwall Wildlife Trust and Compassion in World Farming.

Exhibition at The Poly Falmouth

I have a few paintings in an Exhibition by Paul Hoskin – Abstract Arcs at the Poly in Falmouth.  The paintings I have in this show were created for a large exhibition I had at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Slimbridge. It was a great show because it meant that I could really focus on painting birds, birds and more birds. The exhibition will be open until the 11th August and Paul will be around to talk to people about his work. You can see more of Pauls work on his facebook page and Website  and there will also be new work by Beth Robinson who also has work on Facebook and her website.

Here is a peep into the setting up of the show…
