My daughter Ellie is raising money for the Meningitis Research Foundation, she has listed some of my Sketches, drawings paintings on ebay with a starting price of £5. 100% of the money raised goes to the charity you can see them all here http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/elouiserobinson
As an added bonus to the winner of the drawing that raises the most for the Charity I will offer an extra drawing (from an album of 12)
In August, she will be climbing Kilimanjaro (the tallest free standing mountain in the world). It will undoubtedly be one of the most rewarding and challenging things that she will ever do.. Adding to her challenge she is doing it with a ruptured knee ligament (ACL) !!
You can visit her Virgin giving page http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/ElouiseRobinson to see how she is getting along. Thank you very much for all your support so far, the money raised will make a huge difference.
The weather was kind, it was very busy and I am tired but it was a great show… I painted some rare breed cattle whilst I was there and although they are not finished yet. However, I am quite pleased with the way they went and I certainly enjoyed the focused painting time and of course talking to lots of people who passed through the tent and spending time with the animals. I am always delighted to see the very positive engagement that people have with animals in the Marquee, and the joy that they bring to the lives of everyone who passes through.
Well I am all set up in the Rare Breeds Tent, do call in to see me if you are at Royal Cornwall, it is a great Marquee we have Pigs, Sheep, Goats, Horses, Cows, Turkeys and Chickens…and it is truly my pleasure to share a stand with them all. Here are a few early arrivals…
A few years ago, Nicky (The Cow Lady) and I painted the best in show animals at Royal Cornwall, Nicky does this every year and is well know for her fantastic portraits in the farming world. Nickys cows are always filled with joy and completely different to mine…which are generally quite sombre!
This year I have set myself a goal to paint all of the Cows on the Rare Breed Survival Trust watch-list …there are quite a few…Aberdeen Angus, British White, Dairy Shorthorn, Gloucester, Hereford, Chillingham Wild Cattle, Irish Moiled, Lincoln Red, Vaynol, White Park, Whitebred Shorthorn and Shetland. I don’t paint many Cows so I hope I can do them justice.
